Advertise With Digital Marketing Explained
Reach an audience of marketers, agency owners and business decision makers who are actively looking for tools, services and better ways of working.
Our readers are not passive browsers. They arrive through search, with a specific problem, at the point where they are deciding what to do about it. That makes this a useful place to be seen if you sell something that helps marketers do their job.
Who reads the site
Readers across guides, tutorials and tool pages, and our newsletter subscribers. Our audience breaks down roughly as follows:
- Agency owners and freelancers, buying tools and looking for ways to deliver more with a small team
- In-house marketers at UK SMEs, often the only marketing person in the business
- Business owners running their own campaigns, researching before they spend
- Marketers earlier in their career, building skills and forming tool preferences that tend to stick
The majority of traffic is UK based, arriving through organic search on high-intent queries. That means readers are already in problem-solving mode when they land on the page your ad is sitting on.
Sponsored content
A full article published on the site, written either by you or by us, reaching readers who are already searching for what you do.
Sponsored articles are clearly labelled, keep their value long after the campaign window closes, and sit within the relevant category so they continue to pick up search traffic. We will promote the piece through the newsletter and social channels on publication.
What we ask for: the article has to be genuinely useful on its own terms. A piece that teaches readers something and mentions your product performs far better than a piece that only talks about your product, and we will help you get the balance right.
Display advertising
Banner placements across articles, category pages and the tools section.
Available positions include in-article placements within long-form guides, sidebar units, and dedicated slots on our free tools pages, which attract high engagement because readers spend real time on them.
We keep ad density deliberately low. Fewer advertisers means your placement is not competing with a wall of other banners, which is better for you and better for the reading experience.
Newsletter sponsorship
A dedicated placement in our newsletter, landing directly in the inboxes of subscribers who chose to hear from us.
Each issue carries a single sponsor, so you get the full attention of the audience rather than a share of it. We will work with you on the copy to make sure it reads like the rest of the newsletter rather than an interruption.
Custom packages
Most advertisers end up somewhere between the options above. If you want to combine a sponsored article with a month of display placement, sponsor a series, or discuss something we have not thought of, get in touch and we will put a proposal together.
What we will and will not accept
We turn down more advertising than we accept, which is part of why the placements work.
We are happy to work with software and tool providers, training and education businesses, agencies and service providers, events and conferences, and B2B products relevant to marketing and business growth.
We do not accept anything promoting practices that breach platform policies, PBN or link-selling services, guaranteed ranking claims, adult content, gambling, or products we would not be comfortable recommending to a client.
Our editorial standards apply to everything. All paid placements are labelled clearly. Sponsored posts carry the appropriate link attributes in line with Google's guidelines, which protects your site as much as ours. We will not publish anything that misleads readers, and we reserve the right to decline a campaign at any stage.

Frequently asked questions
Do you offer link insertions into existing articles?
No. We do not sell links in existing editorial content. If you have something specific in mind, ask and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can do.
Can I see the article before it is published?
Yes, for sponsored content you will get a draft to review and we will work through any factual corrections with you.
Is there a minimum commitment?
For display advertising we work in monthly blocks. Sponsored content and newsletter placements can be one-offs.
Do you work with agencies on behalf of clients?
Yes, that is a good proportion of what we do.
